    @ViciousAssasin
You have to use a splatter screen or similar mesh so the papad don’t burn.

I was hoping I’ll get to see how to make the papad dough and roll them out. That’s the most difficult part. It’s easy to go and buy them in the market. There is just too much salt in them.

wat do u call celantro in punjabi????

  11. AJ9211September 24, 2013 at 5:29 amReply

mouth watering – even though its 1:30 am here, i’m going to make some now I think!

I think I will try try the grill to cook papad as I like the slight charring flavour but have no practice cooking gas, mines always break and end up slightly uncooked.

another thing thats gaining popularity in the west is khakhras which r like these crispy wheat things that r like papads and they taste great and u can also add this style of salsa/masala its great and u don’t have to cook them.

Yes, the papad can be fried in oil. It tastes very good. We are trying to offer healthy alternatives to un-healthy favorites.

  13. atgntSeptember 24, 2013 at 6:52 amReply

Why don’t you deep fry the ‘Papad’ in Oil? It tastes much better (though more greasy/fat). Just a thought. We at home do both ways, but more by deep frying.

  14. debudadaSeptember 24, 2013 at 7:51 amReply

It tastes even more delicious when u fry the papad.

Sure, carrots can be added. However, keep in mind that carrots are sweet and may sweeten this normally spicy and savoury dish.

Is there something bad about using aluminum? :O

  19. AlexLaMagnaSeptember 24, 2013 at 9:08 amReply

Animal protein is actually not beneficial to the body, especially in meat form. Consuming meat is acidic to our bones and releases calcium from the bones. I know what you are thinking, “so drink milk”. Milk has other side effects too. I mean if you look at any society where this diet/lifestyle is practiced you see the negative long term and short effects on the society. Things like obesity, heart disease, etc..

They put a bacon commercial at the beginning of a vegan recipe video? Where is the logic?

  24. cathavenfostermom1September 24, 2013 at 12:19 pmReply

Oh, I’m a vegan, I know humans are supposed to be herbivores. I just don’t like it when people fight, especially when they should be calmly explaining what they believe, instead of just attacking each other because they have an ‘us verses them’ attitude.
But no, I don’t eat meat, dairy, or eggs, I just figure vegans can better explain if they don’t act pretentious, and meat eaters need to not act like jerks.

  25. wowgetthisSeptember 24, 2013 at 12:30 pmReply

To all the silly people who think meat is necessary for muscles, bones, blood, and general health etc – ask an elephant, a rhinoceros, or even a gorilla how he manages to survive :-))
Hey and milk is another mistaken attitude – we are the only mammal on earth that consumes milk after it has been weaned – It’s actually really bad for us – the molecules are huge for our digestive systems to assimilate (or break down) hence loads of allergies and IBS problems, plus it isn’t even from our mothers!

  31. cathavenfostermom1September 24, 2013 at 3:22 pmReply

@murdaman702, well, humans can survive now without eating animals, while a lot of predators can’t. But I get it, not everyone is going to become vegan. I’m vegan, for a bunch of reasons I’m not going to preach to you about, but I’m not out to make people feel bad for what they eat. Now there are meat eaters out there, who are part of the animal rights movement, and I say, “good for them,” because we’re all on the same side in that we don’t want animals to suffer. Peace.

  32. murdaman702September 24, 2013 at 3:39 pmReply

food is food to me meat or veg my only issue is certain vegans try to make u feel bad 4 eating meat …my argument to them is…are they gonna try to tell a brown bear not to eat fish? lol

  33. ThePentgirl578September 24, 2013 at 4:36 pmReply

why do meat eaters always watch Vegan recipe videos lol just so they can comment rudely about our belief and choices seems like they need some serious help.

I’m not a vegan but I love vegan meals. They’re low in calories and it’s a great way to maintain a balanced diet.
