Hello I am an Indonesian that is the very wrong way to cook tempe. you made it into such a huge blocks like that it will not cooked right and wasting a lot of oil and get’s too oily and make you throat sour. You should do this :

    1. Slice it into smaller block
    2. Slith the tempe in diagonal ways
    3. To make it taste like meat use these : Salt, Garlic or Coriander, mortar them in mortar and pestle.
    4. Dip the tempe within those spice.
    5. Fry them dry and enjoy

And you will get meaty tempe.

by the way, one can use smoked BBQ sauce instead of soy sauce, to get a more familiar flavor. dry mustard powder instead of curry powder can be another great option just in case

loved your recipe. really nice. i made it into sandwiches. I added a lot fresh, de-seeded jalapino peppers and fresh cilantro to the sandwich for greens. just great. thanks!

I cringed watching your video. Never boil tempeh. It should be steamed and a steamer basket costs less then $10.

You’re a delightful couple and it’s a joy to watch you preparing the tempeh. Bon apetit!

unless u2 are in your 90’s, you don’t look like healthy vegetarians to me. I don’t believe this is a healthy recipe. I would not recommend to anyone.

Seems to me that this is a way to spoil tempeh. In my opinion, it is only cooked properly when you do it the Indonesian way!

    What are u 2 doing.
I can read in your eyes that the both of you dont know how to cook tempeh. who told you to prepare tempeh this way. I think you both will never enjoy the taste of tempeh how it should be tasting. Im afraid that if people who never had tempeh before and take over your way of preparing it will be forever dissapointed in tempeh because they never learn how it really should taste. i really really think your taking yourself tooo serious with this one.
