What a great idea!! I really enjoyed this recipe. I used the McCormick Rotisserie seasoning, but it has salt and it made the tempeh a bit too salty for my taste; it works well if you are putting it on salad or something on the bland side. I made it the second time with Mrs. Dash steak seasoning, which is salt free and natural, and it was very good too. Thanks for the great tip, I will play with this recipe some more and with other seasoning mixes!!!

McCormick Rotisserie Seasoning is likely the most readily available. Look for brands that don’t contain MSG or meat flavorings. Depending where you are, there are a number of companies that have selections of spices and seasonings.

I got Rotisserie Chicken Spice in a bottle — it’s just premixed spices… 1 bottle = all the work done for you.
I got the brand McCormick, it’s all natural/no msg… on the front it says PINCH PERFECT. and the back explains it is salt, onion, spices, paprika, garlic & citric acid.. very vague

Perhaps I wasn’t clear…Tempeh (like tofu or seitan) will not exude fat. While tempeh is not fat free it it will not fry, crisp, grill or bake to a crisp texture without the addition of oil. Other preparation options that limit the addition of fat include steaming, baking, braising or sauteing in a liquid medium.

So, I’m heating the oven to bake the tempeh. I’m looking forward to sampling this recipe! I made a point to look at the nutr. info. to check for the fat content of the tempeh I bought because your comment that tempeh has no fat stuck in my mind. Tempeh does have fat. From what I can see in the video (at minute 1:14) the tempeh you use has 11g per serving. The tempeh I use has 8g per serving. Is there fat-free tempeh out there?

I love this recipe. It is so easy and tastes so good. The last time I made it I added a 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke to it. Yummy.
