The attachment (steel one) in video is some local brand (7Star) which you can get in any Indian grocery store. The base that i used is Osterizer.

    Hi Neha,
Good work. I like to know what kind of grinder are you using. Please tell me its specifications.

pretty much most places with an eastern tpe shop will have them for next to nothing … certainly much better than going to some high street store and buying their poor quality ‘pans’.
yes cast iron pans etc do need looking after a lil more
    ..like anything of quality really…

“just lying around when old people die” I nearly fell over laughing at that one ..
I’ve never just hung round waiting for that …but I will now I know cast iron pans are available

people with less money can find cast iron skillets of all sizes, big soup pots, and flat griddles (tava) in second hand shops, the garbage (!), yard sales, just lying around when old people die.

Worth their weight in gold, they do need special treatment. Once seasoned, if necessary cleaned out and seasoned with oil and heat, they must never again be washed with soap or detergent.

    see cast iron wiki

if you find a rusty awful one, do not despair, clean and clean of cleaners, season.

brilliant recipe …thanks for sharing… must give this a go, am leaving wheat from my diet nowdays …rice flour is very good… is it possible to use gram flour for these ? we mixd some rice and gram flours with some water till dough…rolled out … very difficult to handle though …tasted nice … mixed in some herbs to ….(ANYIDEAS to improve texture ?)

  21. djmisplacedmarblesTVSeptember 24, 2013 at 12:37 pmReply

agree, …Ipicked up a tava ( flat 14″ cast iron thick, pan with long handle) ..FOR 10£uk ..any indian pakistani area kitchen supplies shop will have them ..very useful, best buy ever actually …am on look out for one with sides now ..

    healthy, delicious, thank you, Neha.

But is that a no-stick teflon pan? Cast iron would be much better and safer.
