Thanks for this recipe! I buy all my meats from a local organic farm and they had these on the order list it was like 3 dollars for 2lbs so I grabbed them up! I wasn’t sure what to do with them! Now I know 🙂

That is a very delicious meal and I have to try it myself. I just never knew how to make gravy before, but love eating dishes like Chicken, and Pork Chops cooked with gravy. I thank you so much for showing us how to cook such a fine delicious meal.

Thanks for this. In New Zealand we call this the boil up. Pork bones with carrot, onion and celery covered with water in a big pot, brought to the boil and simmered for a few hours. Potatoes, kumara (sweet potato) and cabbage at the end. But I love that you roasted the bones with the seasoning – it would bring more flavor! Might add some smoked bacon hock too. YUM! Going to try this.

I’m a white boy from the bay, but today I feel southern, cooking this right now with collard greens/smoked turkey and white rice, and I’m only 21. Thanks for helping a guy get cooking so early!

Love your quick to the point recipe!! I will be doing your method today. I normally cook my neckbones all night in a crock pot and they are fall off the bone delish. What would you say overall cooking time in the oven is on 375 like you stated?

If you brown your neck bones in oil after u season them and then add onions and water to the pot and bring to a boil and cook covered on low on top of the stove, it makes your gravy for you.

I have to say, you instantly brought a HUGE smile to my face by opening with “Hello my loves!” Was like I was back in Louisiana for a minute, and my friend Neesi was about to cook me something amazing!
