    You’re welcome! A strata is a layered casserole, usually for breakfast or brunch. Yes, soggy bread is not good.

    Yes, it needs to soak so the bread can soak up the milk and egg mixture. The bread doesn’t come out soggy, but it doesn’t taste like toast. It is more like a strata.

    Do you have to let it soak, or can you just make it and throw it in the oven? Also, does the bread come out like toast or is it soggy at all?
