Why is it that the cocoa powder is used only before serving and not directly after the tiramisu has been prepared?

This is a lot lower in fat than what I make lol I discard the egg white and make it with whipped heavy cream! This looks fantastic!

You can even skip amaretto, if you don’t like alcohol in your cream. 🙂 This is a perfect recipe, by the way. Greetings from Italy. <3

Hey joanne . Did u do anything to the egg whites ? Because in this way the egg whites are actually raw. Ive seen some recipes using whipped cream instead

From what I’ve seen, tiramisu is more often served in glasses or dishes, where you eat from it directly. Definitely don’t flip the glass, as it won’t hold its shape. Sometimes I make it in a large glass dish, then use a turner to cut a piece and lift it out and onto a plate, if I want to serve squares of tiramisu.

How do you take the tiramisu out to serve? Do you turn the glass bowl upside down then invert the tiramisu when it is out?

Hello, it’s traditional to use unsweetened but if you have sweetened, that would work too.
