Thank you very much. Another thing you could do is substitute the bacon for turkey bacon. I made this recipe for a friend that doesn’t eat pork and it came out ok. Nothing substitutes real bacon but oh well lol.

This is a great recipe! We don’t eat pork, so I left out the bacon but added some butter. Still yummy! Thanks! This is now a family favorite.

You are going to make a very nice wife for some lucky man someday. But where was the gun in this video?

made the soup today. Very nice only the consistency was very “loose” so I had to use more potatoes after I used blender. Extra potatoes provided better consistency. Thanks for the video

this potatoe soup is a bit expensive to make…I counted about $10 for the soup in ingredients. Going to try tomorrow for the first time to see if it’s the “Cheesecake factory quality”… I love their soups. Also could add some greens or dry bacon on top when the soup is ready or a bit of shredded cheese.

Hi, I made the soup. It is great, I’m going to serve it tomorrow for Thanksgiving I think some of the measurements are off as I had much more in the pot after adding 1 cup each of the onion and celery, but that’s okay. Just caused everything to cook a bit longer and got more brown so the soup was not so white. Didn’t have any thyme, maybe next time. I did add some nutmeg, which I usually add to mashed potatoes. – Thanks
