Nice dish August we call shrimps prawns here in Aussie. What is arugula?
Fifteen SpatulasDecember 8, 2013 at 7:33 am
It’s got a great peppery flavor, I love it too. That is so wonderful you
are teaching your 3 year old how to eat right from an early age. Bravo!

Arugula is #1 for me! This is a great way to use it. You will not be
disappointed if you try it. I promise.

This looks delicious…I used to order something similar like this at a
restaurant by my house. The only thing didn’t like about it was that when I
was almost done there will be a pool of oil at the bottom but this one
looks much healthier.

A lot of Aussie’s use metric, so I have to get my conversion app fired up
when I want to make something I see on YouTube. 🙂

Yes me and the boy have been growing arugula in the closet. He eats one
leaf a day!

Measurement conversions can be a problem.Thank goodness for the internet.
Love your style by the way.

You are multi-talented. Growing and cooking! Maybe you should make a show
about gardening too! 🙂
August CookingDecember 8, 2013 at 1:28 pm
Cheeky, I believe you Aussie’s call it rocket. A few other names for
arugula are rugola, rucola, roquette, garden rocket, Mediterranean rocket.
It has a spicy nutty flavor that I love!
August CookingDecember 8, 2013 at 2:16 pm
You don’t need much oil at all! Just enough to brown the onions and shrimp.
I hope you try this one. 🙂
cheekyrichoDecember 8, 2013 at 2:46 pm
Thanks August, Since your reply I’ve seen this everywhere. Rocket I know.
Thanks for the other info. Definitely helps with international recipes.

It is banging! 🙂
cookingwithmissyDecember 8, 2013 at 3:36 pm
I like it that u cook the onions in the same pan as the cooked shrimp..
adds so much flavour to the onions 🙂
alimosyDecember 8, 2013 at 4:21 pm
yep… definitely on my must try list!
August CookingDecember 8, 2013 at 5:06 pm
Thanks, Joanne! I am arugula’s #1 fan. I try to work it into everything.
Plus, it’s the only green thing my 3 year old will eat. We are growing some
in the laundry room under lights. 🙂 We actually grew the arugula in the
video together.
