Greetings from the beautiful coast of Maine!
Already, the leaves are glorious, many shades of red, orange.
The best are the “gold” leaves so bright, you’d swear they glow in the dark!
Been to Kentucky many times, LOVE you folks so much; Spring in your state, nothing like it anywhere.
What a lovely southern belle you are!!
Every time I see a vid from you ,I’m reminded of the relaxed charm that comes naturally from you folks!
    Love you too much!

Aw! Cool! I actually didn’t know you were from KY when I subscribed. I’m in Lexington.
If you ever get the chance, you should try Stanley J’s Delicatessen. Their red potato salad and chicken salad is a-mazing.

    🙂

Thanks Betty – I will search through your videos for your previous pound cake recipe and will be eagerly awaiting the lemon variety too. Lemon is one of my favorite flavors.

Hi Jimbo! Thanks for the nice comment! I didn’t taste the slaw, but I can tell you that it is not traditional to kentucky. Jonathan is a chef with some interesting ideas about putting a new twist on an old familiar recipe. I’m glad you enjoyed the countryside!

Hi! Thanks for your nice comment! Yes, I have a pound cake in bettyskitchen–you may be seeing a lemon pound cake later this week!
    –Betty 🙂

Wow – I think I’d love to try everything you both ate at this restaurant. Those sandwiches both sounded and looked delicious, and the maple dressing on the coleslaw sounds great. I would love to see you make mini corn muffins someday – I bet Carter would like those. The pound cake with blueberry ice cream especially caught my attention – what a great idea. Have you made any pound cake videos yet Betty? Thanks so much for the trip video, as always.

The weather in Kentucky is very good overall. From May to about October it is generally sunny and warm. In midsummer, the temperatures get into the 90’s, but in spring and fall they are in the 70’s. It gets cold along about November, and we have snow occasionally, but usually not a lot. After January the weather starts to warm up, and then we get beautiful flowering trees and bulbs. If you like variety in weather, you’d like Kentucky!

Thanks for your lovely comment, Ben! Most people don’t know a lot about Kentucky, but it actually has a lot of historic places and nature sites to visit. It is also famous for so many things–like KFC, Kentucky bourboun, and horse racing. More things to come!
    Love you, Ben.

WOW Betty you sure do get around.
What is the weather like in Kentuky all year round. It looks pretty nice there in this video.
It’s my dream to move to the states.
