Hi Betty 🙂 I was wondering if you could omit the cottage cheese and use fresh potato’s ??

  10. Betty's KitchenOctober 30, 2013 at 1:04 pmReply

You could cut it in half and just use 2 or 3 eggs, depending on how much you like eggs. Also, it can be frozen. Just wrap it in aluminum foil, and when you are ready to use it, thaw it completely and place the aluminum foil-wrapped casserole on a baking pan or dish at 350 degrees (F). It just needs to be heated through. about 20 minutes.

Hi Betty, I would love to make this recipe but I live alone. What to do with leftovers? Can it be frozen? How do you warm it up, Will the bacon go soggy? I just love this recipe. I could also cut it in half, but you are using 5 eggs (?) Thank you. You are indeed the sweetest lady on the planet.

    Hi Betty, this looks delicious!
I’d like to make this recipe but I’m not sure my local supermarket sells dried hash browns. Would regular hash browns work or is it necessary to use the dehydrated ones?
    Thank you!

I assume you could assemble it the night before & leave in the fridge, so that you just pop it in the oven in the morning?

  17. Betty's KitchenOctober 30, 2013 at 4:12 pmReply

Yes, you may omit the hot sauce.

Can you leave out the hot sauce? Just wondering and I like this recipe 🙂 thanks for sharing 🙂

It depends on how thick you want your sauce to be. I think the 1 tablespoon cornstarch / 1/2 cup water combination will be enough. I would start there, because you don’t want it too thick. You can always add more (in the same proportion) if you want it thicker.

I thought so but i’m using a whole bottle of chili sauce and a 32 oz. jar of jelly. will
that be enough cornstarch? Is there a better way to email you. right now I just go to the pages I’ve bookmarked. YOU’RE THE BEST 🙂
