I don’t think Polenta is usually made from corn that has been nixtamalized
(hominy).

Okies. I had an idea for them. Brown some chicken strips or cubes, add
fresh squeezed lemon, grated ginger and about a teaspoon of honey. With all
the usual salt, pepper, onion and garlic.

Either your package was infested at the store where you purchased it (a
break in the packaging allowed them to get in), or you have an infestation
in your pantry. The only way to know if it was in your pantry/cupboard is
to do an inspection of the corners and crevices and other food items. It’s
best to store dry goods in airtight containers to avoid cross infestations
such as this, Hope everything worked out for you.

Served with some smothered pork chops and topped with gravy…yummy!

Actually, I tried polenta for the first time yesterday and honestly, the
difference is very small. If both are cooked accordingly, it would be
difficult to determine by taste. The texture looks slightly different, but
the taste is similar. Also depends what you add to it. Without butter or
salt, grits are disgusting.

Ok scratch that. Now whats the difference between Grits and Polenta? =O
