I love Tom Yum, being Thai it is probably one of my favorite foods. Though
sometimes if you feeling lazy a pot of boiling water with some tom yum
paste and lemon grass is just as tasty. Tom Kha is quite good to, just
regular tom yum with a little coconut milk, it is alot less spicy too!

@frankylovesyall: Go to Asian market or Korean store in your area. You’ll
find a lot of what you need for your cravings!:-) Only in asian stores
where you can buy or find lemon grass. Great if you buy extra stalks to
grow in a pot and put it inside your house, I have 4 pots of lemon grass
already. I’m also Asian, love asian food and most of all made my own tom yum
soup,too! Goodluck!

It can be done in many ways but the way I learned from taking a course in
Thailand is like this: Chicken stock or cocoanutmilk for the base, about
2-3dl á portion, add a small amount Nam Prik (chili paste), a few
Kaffirleaves, a few slices of Galang root, fresh Chili slightly crushed and
sliced Lemon Grass. Bring to a boil, add the Challots, Mushroom and Prawns
while taking it of the heat. Stir down some Fish Sauce, Limejuice, Tomato
and garnish with Coriander and Spring Onion. Hot ‘n heavenly!
