I made this – my first Chef John recipe, and my first rhubarb anything –
and it was amazing. I wish I had known years ago how much I would love
    rhurbarb!

You are missing out. A fairly close version of this has been a family
recipe for years – except minus the strawberry part. Try it. It is
outstanding. Frankly I think it should be made illegal to put a strawberry
    in a rhubarb pie.

Anyways…. I don’t know where to find rhubarb since its not at my local
    grocery store.

Try a Heston Blumenthal tip. Superhot pan, turn the steaks every 15
    seconds.

I think those chefs on “Chopped” should learn to manually sous vide their
recipes since they seem to never know how to use the sous vide machine in
    the allotted 30 minutes.

Sous Vide it first, then use a blow torch like one you would use on a creme
bruelle just to get the maillard reaction.

Alas, I am still waiting for the day where I can meet an intelligent
christian. “Discussing religion with a christian is like playing chess with
a pigeon. No matter how much sense you make and how little they do, they
will eventuelly strut around, knock the pieces over and shit all over the
    board.”
