i pressure cooked soaked beans and then mash them with the lid off after
they are fully cooked and add Onion powder, garlic powder, Cumin powder,
salt and pepper and a bit of butter. When its all done and ready to eat, i
add a bit of hot Queso or Monterey Jack or PepperJack cheese on top of each
plate that has a serving of beans, it melts on the refried beans and is
    heavenly!!

Honestly, not mean to be rude but why not just eat out of the can without
the effort of frying! To cook beans from scratch, you don’t even have to
soak them overnight, just boil for about an hour with a little bit of salt.
Then you can manage them the way you want; fried, whole, in soups…
whatever, but canned food, not my type of food. I love cooking from scratch
and do not eat canned food of any kind-unhealthy. I am Mexican, by the way.

all my years cooking and watching cooking shows-i can’t get over how many
cooks leave their hair down for it to fall into the food!

Pinto beans are the nastiest looking beans. If you want your dish to look
better use red or black beans. I never cook with red onions. They are best
eaten raw and fresh. They oxidize. Leave them in open air or cook them, and
they go from a beautiful red or purple color to a pale green or blue.
Doesn’t look too good. Cook with onions that have a white flesh, like the
ones with the brown or white skin.

Seriously, your recipe is use canned refried beans? Stick to canned curry.
Might as well tell people to pick it up at 7-eleven. Duh!!

Looks yummy.. But I agree with gopxi, that if one plans on making refried
beans, why buy canned refried beans? Another great option is to buy canned
whole pinto beans and fry them in the oil with the veggies and spices and
then smash them right there.. Super good. My favorite kind is frijoles
puercos (cook chorizo in a pot, add whole beans and fry, add canned
jalapenos and smash really well, add white mexican cheese like oaxaca, at
the end throw in whole green olives. Try it! It rocks.

There are many many varieties of cheese in the market, but the most common
ones that are liked by Indians are processed cheese like Britannia and
amul, then mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese that are used in Italian
    dishes…
