    Glabro24 is incorrect. You can buy authentic absinthe in America. The only difference is what they call it. And it’s not poisonous, and it’s not going to make you hallucinate. It’s just a strong liquor. Check out Lucid Absinthe. They have a website. I just drank some this weekend. Pretty good, and you can get all super traditional and buy the accessories. Which I recommend.

    It’s complicated. Many countries in Europe have stopped producing and importing “real” absinth. But you could buy any absinth without the poison (from wormwood). It’s about the taste after all, right? 🙂 But at the same time – why would it be called absinth anymore?
