The red pepper used for the chicken tigh BBQ is not the Asian red pepper
paste. this is red bell pepper or red Anahime Pepper which is cut and
cooked until becomes like a paste. If you don’t have red pepper paste in
your are’s store I suggest you use just Paprika. Maybe you can mix the
paprika with some vegetable or olive oil and rub it on the chicken? just a
suggestion. let us know about the experience it will be greatly
    appreciated. Enjoy! 🙂 Mariette.

My BBQ is gas. I put it on the highest and closed the lid. I check often
and turn often to prevent from burning. If the pieces of chicken used is
thicker I suggest to cook on slower so that it cooks all the way through.
    Enjoy!:) Mariette
