If I am not mistaken its the oil and vinegar when blended is what makes the
dressing thick but the garlic powder acts like lethiten etc ?

It can be kept very long in the fridge since there is no fresh ingredients
in it If you replace the vinegar with lemon juice or orange juice, it would
go bad easier but even the dressing with lemon juice can be kept for more
than a month in my experience

Hello I have tried to make this recipe but failed. Can you please tell me
the quantities of the ingredients you used? Thanks

I suppose you can use olive oil but it gets thick when refrigerated. You
will have to bring it to room temperature before using.

You are welcome! Enjoy!

Thank you Robin! I will try this today, its just what I needed for my
‘trying to eat more salades-’cause the Doc says cholesterol is a bit high’
regime…… I had just bought the lowfat greek yogurt to try in my
dressings, but I’ll look for the powdered garlic instead!

Wil be making this very soon. Thank you! 🙂 Also, not sure if you are
aware of this but we order our spices in bulk from San Francisco Herb (we
are not affiliated with them) and for example, you can get that powdered
garlic for next to nothing. We just refill smaller containers. Of course
what I dry from the garden we don’t purchase but for things like the
garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, etc, this is a great place for wonderful,
bargain priced seasonings. Take care Robin and thanks again.

Oh my goodness how fabulous! I’ll be making this. Thank you

Thanks for the tip about San Francisco Herb. Do you order from them online?
I will definitely check them out as it’s hard to find the garlic powder in
the stores. Costco used to carry it but not anymore. Can you tell me how
you dry your herbs from the garden? I might even make a video about that!
Foodiewish2November 11, 2013 at 12:12 pm
Sounds like a great video idea! I did respond via your webisite e-mail
form. My reply will be longer than You Tube will allow. Also, you will be
thrilled with the powdered garlic from SF HERB. We purchase it in 1 lb
containers. Take care Robin and congrats on that 100th upload! 🙂

You are welcome Martha! Try the garlic powder. It tastes great and is good
for you. Good luck with your cholesterol.
