Why would you want to replace the “vine”? Chicken and white wine were made
    for each other.

I made this today, substituting more chicken broth for the wine. I’m not a
big fan of meat only tasting good based on the stuff you put on it after
it’s cooked, and this seemed to be the case. I tried the chicken without
the sauce and it was pretty bland, it was just egg and chicken flavor. I
wish the directions would say how much salt and pepper, because maybe
that’s were the flavor was lacking. The sauce was actually pretty good,
    thickened with the floured butter.

Water, chicken broth, vegetable broth, white grape juice, ginger ale, white
grape juice are all wine substitutes.

@princemohsin if you pre heat the alcoholic drink before using it, the
    alcohol devappers

  19. Godoffire0409January 14, 2014 at 1:31 pmReply

@bumflufasshole not entirely. depending on cooking time as much as 25
percent of the total alcohol can remain, however the amount left is not
    noticeable.

    its chicken STOCK

  24. Brandon TeJanuary 14, 2014 at 4:56 pmReply

@princemohsin why not? it gives it a good flavour. The alcohol evaporates
    when you cook it.
