How long do u let the rice cook?
Steven SantanaMarch 19, 2014 at 5:27 am
Current Chipotle worker here!
Our oil has changed from Soybean oil to Rice-bran oil now. Soybean oil has
GMO’s. Rice-bran oil is GMO free.
Step by step,
1. Rinse your rice (Long grain rice)
2. Cook your rice
3. Once it’s done, add the Rice-bran oil.
4. Wait 5 minutes
(Restaurant Deep Pan)
5. Dump your rice (white rice)
6. Add 2 cups of Cilantro
7. Add 1/2 cup of Citrus juice
8. 2 table spoons of salt
9. Toss your rice evenly
10. Dump back into your pan and serve
Your welcome! (:

Chipotle uses soybean oil but your oil is fine. Any long grain rice is
fine. Wash the rice off to remove excess starch. The lime is added after
it’s cooked as Chipotle says on their own website. Salt it before you cook
it so it’s well dissolved.

1. Cook long grain rice with water 2. add soy oil after the rice is cooked
so that the rice doesn’t stick to each other 3. Add salt, pasteurized
citrus juice, and salt. 4. Mix 5. Enjoy -I work at chipotle

Key to cooking perfect basmati rice every time. 1 parts rice 1+1/2 parts
water. Bring to the boil, cover, then lower heat to a simmer for 10
minutes. Leave the cover alone! After 10 minutes take off the heat and
fluff it.
