I saw this video yesterday. Today I am cooking this. First time steaming
chicken for me. I can’t wait to taste it. Thanks for sharing.

You could add the brown sugar and chopped garlic to the stir fry
ingredients if you like. It’s just that traditionally, green onions and
ginger is a common combination as a topping. I should have showed a piece
of chicken with a scoop of the topping on it. When we finish dinner, that
whole dish of ginger and green onion is all eaten. We probably could finish
two containers of that in one dinner. Thanks for your question and thanks
for viewing my video on Chinese Steamed Chicken.

Except for deep fry pressure cooker in my dad’s restaurant many years ago,
I have no experience with pressure cookers. I just watched a video on
pressure cooking, so it does cut down the cooking time. Thanks for checking

Why the differences in recipe in video, especially with the brown sugar and
chopped garlic is left out in the recipe when showing stir frying
ingredients? Just trying to figure out why two different recipes. Is
Traditional recipe for small use and second recipe for larger amount and
storage? Does one refrigerate or freeze the large amount?

Question: We’re looking for a recipe for making the mooncake skin, that is
not so greasy. Does your mom make her own mooncakes? Thanks.

  21. Dan SetoFebruary 13, 2014 at 2:54 pmReply

My mom likes doing videos. She asks me to video her, so I’ll be doing more
of them. thanks for viewing my channel.

The recipe consists of 16 ozs of minced pork, 2 sausages, each 1/2 c
mushroom, onion, all chopped, 2 T oil, starch powder , each 1 T soy sauce ,
oyster sauce , 1/2 c water, 453 gm Di Bao flour, 2 T sugar enough water to
make into a dough. I will add in some oil too. Cantonese make Bao with raw
ingredients, mix well with all the ingredients given and chill, add in some
    Chinese parsley before use.

Yumsssssssss Thanks to your mom! I can see as with my own mom when I was
growing up. She use to say to me “My fingers are heat proof” hahahaha. Moms
    are great!

Thank-you for your suggestion to put recipe under the video so viewers can
cut and paste. I will tell my mom about your suggestion to roll dough into
a ball. My mom used to use yeast to make dough rise, but now uses the
instant rising mix. Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Hi, we will be very grateful if you place the recipe below the video
instead of in the video so that we can copy and paste to keep. It is very
nice of her to cook for you to take the video. If she rolls each ball of
dough into a smooth ball before she makes the Bao, I think it will looks
much better. After that, let them stand for 10 to 15 mins if yeast was
added in the flour itself as I have not seen or use this type of flour
    before.

I don’t recall my mom making mooncake before. Good luck in your search to

most of the time her cooking turns out pretty good. Thanks for viewing and
