Hey Tina.. Thanks for posting this.. I watched this to get a basic idea for
making tofu satay… I don’t understand the role of each ingredient so if
you could help with the vegetarian substitutes for fish sauce and massaman
curry paste (can i get a veggie version in the market?) Please suggest… 🙂

@ThaiFoodcast You can tell this is a low budget video, but GREAT production
quality! The producer and director might not have much money to work with
but they have a lot of talent, and they use it. Really professional camera
angles and switching. The young lady that does the cooking isn’t the best
with English but you can tell that she works hard at and does a great job
at communicating. Really professional video…now to go cook it! GOOD JOB
    ThaiFoodcast!!!

That was the first curry I ever made. We managed to find whole shrimp and
cooked them that way. It was super messy, but WOW!

looks super yummy. Thanks for the upload

  42. stephenTcartwrightDecember 31, 2013 at 2:12 amReply

i use this paste because the paste takes ages to make. Just add some lemon
grass, salt, lime and I also add a little coriander to the mixture and it
works out pretty nice. Don’t leave the lime n lemon grass in too long
though because you will get the bitterness from the skins. Not the same as
real Thai, but it tastes pretty good.

Your videos are really good. I tried your basil chicken with rice and it
was sexy!! everybody loved it. Can I use Shrimps by adding them at the end
of this recipe? Thanks for posting this!! I hope the food networks buys
    your show 😉

  44. Von RixDecember 31, 2013 at 3:28 amReply

@lildoc That was I was thinking also. Do we need to ad fish sauce or the
salt already does the trick, or maybe fish sauce serves as substitute for
    salt in Thailand.
