I live in Mexico, and see burritos eaten and sold on a daily basis so I can say that burritos are in fact Mexican. But since the US is right next to Mexico of course they also have burritos, what is put inside of the burritos is slightly different so you’re right on that part. 🙂 (hopefully I didn’t come out to be rude, my English isn’ the best)

Yea your probably right, I’ve never been to Europe so i wouldn’t know 🙂

I don’t think you really understand how difficult it is to GET those ingredients in Europe. Hell, half of the Mexican peppers I use for my curry’s I have to order online for triple the price they sell in the America’s.

Burritos are not Mexican… They are American. I’ve been to Mexico over 10 times and I’ve never seen a burrito there.

They made a pretty good burrito version , of course it is different from our traditional mexican burrito ( ingredients, taste, etc) , they made their version that is all. I live in a place where burrito is a typical meal, so I can tell jajaja. I´m from Chihuahua, greetings !!

We use it in several soups, we have a very traditional sort of soup called Pozole and we add oregano to it.

seems tasty but that is a white washed burrito, I was a little disappointed because I expected a Mexican burrito with Mexican rice and refried pinto beans. But whatever

This looks good but it’s not a Mexicano burrito we don’t use white rice, black bean we use Mexican rice and pinto beans 🙂

Soak it in vinegar water, rinse & dry.

Also, if you are following an Esselstyn regimen, leave out the olive oil and be content with the salt in a limited amount of soy sauce.

This is a great way to break down the kale, but I wonder if the kale is organic, shouldn’t we soak it in salt water to release any bugs that may be in the cracks? I am still learning raw diet.

This was SO EASY to make and it was delicious! I just wanted a kale salad so I skipped the avocado, cucumber and red pepper. I used regular soy sauce…and added some hot red pepper flakes and organic cracked black pepper. Great salad! Thanks for sharing! Also never knew what that type of slicing is called..learning new stuff everyday about cooking!

We also used Lacinato Kale – it looked like dinosaur, but it didn’t say so – is that the same thing?

unfortunately we only had tamari sauce for the soy, but we will get some of the other this week. Amazing! Trying to slowly go raw. This salad is a great start. Thanks!

If you haven’t tried this recipe, it’s a MUST. I was so impressed with how delicious this is. I followed her instructions strictly except I added 1 tablespoon of pine nuts to the salad. This will be a staple on my list of meals! Thank you Diana!

You can use coconut aminos in place of soy sauce. I like the taste better and besides, no real need for soy in the diet at all.
