Thank you! It was definitely a honor to win that prize in the Atkins All
Star contest and to have that many people vote for me.

As I mentioned in the video, I use either HQ olive oil (non-EVOO) or
coconut oil for shallow frying now. They both have equivalent smoke temps.

I also used gouda cheese as its what I had in the fridge. I think this
would be good with most any kind of cheese that has a tang to it. Arlene

I’m loving all of your recipes and its really helping me stick to low carb
eating. Yesterday I had the low carb big mac pie and it was a hit at my
house. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to show us how to
    cook lowcarb.

IF YOU NOTICE AMERICANS ARE EATING 4-5x MORE SUGAR THAN 20 YEARS AGO. SUGAR
SI POISONOUS AND TOXIC, AND I HAVE BEEN ON LOW CARB SINCE FEB AND LOST 40
LBS. BUT SUGAR IS HORRIBLE, BIG BUSINESS IS DUPING AMERICANS, DONT BE ONE
OF THE LEMMINGS, FAT IS NOT BAD, I EAT LOTS OF FAT, AND AM LOSING WEIGHT
(diagnosed w diabetes feb of this year and am only 39 yrs old) dont let
your prejudice against fats keep YOU unhealthy!!!

am low carbing, and am a chef also…the oil information is correct, but
why change the oil quality to use a lower quality oil in order to control
smoking, when all you have to do with the first pressed extra virgin is to
turn down the heat?? BUT good job dude, i see all your videos on here and
kudos to you sir for helping people. FOR THE PERSON WHP ASKED IS THIS
HEALTHY, ITS A LOT MORE HEALTHY THAN ALL THE CRAP THE MEDIA WANTS YOU TO
BELIEVE IS HEALTHY VERSUS BAD FOR YOU. DO SOME HOMEWORK,

You could try vital wheat gluten, which is ironically low carb. You need a
high protein source to hold the donut together.

That’s my goal — making low carb and Atkins easier for all to do. I
remember the first few weeks not knowing what to eat, and I wish others to
    have an easier road.

You can find the xanthan or guar gum in the health food aisle of a larger
grocery store. It is somewhat spendy at $8-10 for a small portion, but you
use little. Amazon or netrition are other good (and cheaper) places to find
    it too.

I’ve been using coconut oil for 2 years now. It’s good stuff! But of
course, so is bacon, and peppers and… heh heh.
