I sat down & started really looking through the book, Back then items like
hamburger helper were made NOT from a box mix. They have every flavor’s
recipe in this book. Other funny things are 2 Whole pages for BBQ chicken
    cooked in the Oven. Hah!

Do you have a copy of “Deep South Cooking”? It is a spiral bound book with
a white cover and the title in black print. My Granny used it back in the
day. Think printed in the 50’s-60’s. Btw I watched one of ya vids and
bought some Cambell’s pork & beans and can’t remember how you dr. them up.
Send PM on which vid. Thx Man!

CITIZEN for an ID to purchase liquor. Stupid stupid stupid. When did common
sense get flushed down the toilet?!

Ha! In ’63 I was a Junior in college. I love going through old cookbooks
like this, and I do have a number of them myself. Now and then you
re-discover an old gem. Or you re-discover a simple way of doing something
that’s been complicated to death over the years and was better when it was

We like mix em, turnip, collards, & mustard greens all in one pot with
garlic onion & bacon/fat back. Collards are my favorite, them others are
bitter. Add some sugar to offset this
